Day 14 - One Sentence Saturday - from a book

Today we are asked to share one sentence from a book.  Not just any book and not just any sentence.  We are to go to our bookshelf, pick the third book in from the top shelf and share the first sentence.

Easy peasy you would think, except I have six book shelves!  Hard to decide which book shelf to use.  I opted for the one closest to me at the time.
