trying

trying... to work

trying... to smile

trying... to not be sad and depressed all the time

trying... to cope with the stress of the holidays

trying... to stand the loneliness

i really don't like this time of year. someone asked the other day what my favorite part of the holidays was and i couldn't think of a single thing. now, days later, i've realized the only thing i really like about this time of year is the lights. so many pretty lights all over.

i've tried to get in the spirit of the season, but i keep getting knocked back out. car trouble has taken the last of my savings this weekend. i'm struggling to get enough money to make it through the rest of the month. i'm supposed to make cupcakes for a work luncheon this week, and i don't have the money to purchase the ingredients...how sad is that?

i've been pretty quiet around here because i haven't had much to say. i still don't, it seems.

maybe later...

If it helps any, I do understand how you are feeling as I have been feeling and going through the same thing. I did not even take out any of my decorations or have a tree. I'm just not feeling it. But I do adore all the lights and it does help keep my mind off other things.

I do wish you a peaceful rest of the month and wish for things to work out for you!~

Just want to give you a hug. I'm sorry things seem sucktacular right now. Yule is almost here and the days get longer and the garden planning will be starting again and the world will get turned right side up, just hold on. I would say something about the Steelers here ordinarily but I think they might need some hugs lately too...

Here are a few idea's for you..

"I am grateful that I woke to greet another day."
"I am grateful for Beastie who keeps me warm at night."
"I am grateful for the support I receive from my blog friends."
I am grateful for the roof over my head."
"I am grateful for my job, for it keeps food in my kitchen."
"I am grateful that Troy Polamalu will play at least one more game this season."
(ok, maybe that was a personal one for me, lol)

Smile Laura, it helps :)

Cyber-hug! Have had a similar month. Hmmmm, can't go grocery shopping...possibly enough gas to get kids to school...out of toilet paper...what? Christmas is in 2 weeks!

Feeling it. I guess all we can do is count our blessings even when they're hiding under a pile of bills! ;)
