I've missed so much...

I missed Vanessa's Halloween Party.  I missed Halloween.  I missed All Saints Day, All Soul's Day and Dia de los Muertos.  I feel like I've missed so much!  Oh, but what I found...

(the Natural Bridge - in Virginia - an amazing force of nature millions and millions of years old)

(ghosts of the past-if you look closely at the above photo, you might be surprised by what you see)
(a little Tolkien carved in stone  - I literally stumbled on to this, walked past it twice before i saw it)

I took a giant leap outside of my comfort zone.  I met new, wonderful, fantabulous people and one lovely lady whose blog I've read for years and have wanted to meet in person.  I ate delicious, healthy, organic food.  I learned to create things I have never created before.  It. Was. Perfect!

I have so much to share with you about my trip.  And I will, soon, I promise.  I'm getting settled back in after getting home 3 days later than planned.  I'm trying not to lose my creative mojo or my good mood.  I have so, so many more pictures to share.  I'm thinking of making a power point of the trip.  (Do people even do that anymore?)  :-)

I found so very much on this trip.  From the moment I signed up back in February, I began to find things.  But the most important thing I found - was myself.  My happy, creative, inspired, lovely self.

How have you been?

take a step, follow a thread

earlier today i took another tiny step toward reclaiming my life. actually, for me it was a giant leap to creating a life i want and can enjoy. i cannot express how happy i have been today. ever since i signed up early this afternoon, i have felt happier than i have in two or three years.

i bet you are wondering where the "thread" comes in, aren't you? well, this is the step that i took: The Red Thread Retreat

so you see, i'll be following a thread, to learn some new things, to explore the world around me, to meet new people and most importantly, to LIVE!

it has been a very good day in my world. not only am i one of the lucky 15, but winter has finally put in an appearance...we have snow!

insights

This lovely pot of spring mums refused to let me leave the grocers when I went in yesterday to pick up some lunch. I must have walked past them five or six times trying to ignore them, but they wouldn't stop screaming for me to take them home with me. So, I gave in. They do look lovely and are quite cheerful.

Today was spent in a workshop that dealt with women's spirituality/psychology and the Wheel of the Year. It was... well, I really just don't have the words to describe it.

I need time to process what I've experienced today, take it all in and figure out how it can impact my life. Maybe once I've done that I'll be able to share more about it here.

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.
